  • Oct. 31st, 2009 at 11:18 PM

If you found out you only had six months left to live, what would you do with the rest of your life? Do you have a "bucket list"?

Don't Wake Me

I went to bed I was thinking about you
Ain't the same since I'm living without you
All the memories are getting colder
All the things that I wanna do over

Went to bed I was thinking about you
I wanna talk and laugh like we used to
When I see you in my dreams at night
It's so real but it's in my mind

And now
I guess
This is as good as it gets

Don't wake me
'Cause I don't wanna leave this dream
Don't wake me
'Cause I never seem to stay asleep enough
When it's you I'm dreaming of
I don't wanna wake up

I went to bed I was thinking about you
And how it felt when I finally found you
It's like a movie playing over in my head
Don't wanna look 'cause i know how it ends
All the words that I said that I wouldn't say
All the promises I made that I wouldn't break
It's last call, last song, last dance
'Cause I can't get you back, can't get a second chance

And now, I guess
This is as good as it gets

These dreams of you keep on growing stronger
It ain't a lot but it's all I have
Nothing to do but keep sleeping longer
Don't wanna stop cause I want you back

Don't wake me
We're together just you and me
Don't wake me
'Cause we're happy like we used to be
I know I've gotta let you go
But don't wake me

RevGen 2009

Yesterday I went to Revelation Generation in NJ and let me just say that it was one of the best music festivals I've ever been to. I got close to the stage for August Burns Red and then later got to meet them and get their autographs. Some other bands I saw were:  Before Their Eyes, Norma Jean, Needtobreathe, BarlowGirl, Switchfoot, The Devil Wears Prada, and Flyleaf. Justin Lookadoo was one of the only speakers there, but he gave a great speech. I got front row (well as close as you could get to the stage anyway) for Flyleaf and they were amazing. That was the first time I ever saw most of the bands I listed. It wasn't crowded like Creation was and getting autographs was so much easier at RevGen. I can't wait to go next year. :)

Youth Retreat ;)

Tomorrow I leave for a youth retreat in the mountains until Wednesday afternoon. It's always interesting going on retreats with the group of kids that go to my church. :P Hopefully I'll be able to post some pictures; it's always gorgeous up there. I'll let everyone know the details when I get back.

If you could travel back in time, what advice would you give to your younger self?
